Paige Speight

Paige Speight

Paige paints unusual portraits of the lives and stories that intersect her own, drawing particular inspiration from moments of unexpected vulnerability. Working with wet-on-wet oils she builds thick paintings: flawed and emotive. She has experience painting commissioned portraits, murals, print-making, and creating stop-motion films.

Paige is a graduate of Bowdoin College. A native Mainer, she now lives in Charlottesville, VA. She currently teaches art classes out of her home, through The Bridge Progressive Arts Initiative in Belmont, and occasionally the Hive Craft Bar in McIntire Plaza.
